The following sections offer a glimpse into the past 171 years of Houston--a decade at a time. Each decade and section has been compiled from many sources and include a full time line and photos of  the city's historic past. There has been much effort given  to ensure the accuracy of this educational and informative site and the intent is to let Houstonians and Visitors learn as much as possible about the great city of  Houston.
